5th weekend in a row!

I am just winding down my fifth weekend in a row with my kids. I have enjoyed our time together and really don't look forward to spending next weekend without them. Oh well, this wasn't my choice, it is one of those things I cannot change. We have had so many weekends, I don't know if I can write about them all. I will start with this weekend, we had a great picnic supper Friday night. We went to Canyon Lake Park, had some KFC, which by the way, I think if one is to buy $25.00 worth of chicken, mashed potatoes, and gravy, they should include silverware with your order. It was ok though, there is a convenience store right across the street so, problem solved. We ate, played soccer, and went and fed the ducks. It was fun to have all the kids there, and fun to watch Billie (my new puppy) experience the ducks for the first time. Saturday started with soccer, it was kind of a rush because of extra stops we had to make, but we got them made, and got to both games on time. Both kids played at the same time, so I went with Ky, and my mom went and watched C. Both kids played well, C scored the only goal for his team and played well, Ky didn't score any goals, but did play hard and crushed them on defense several times. After the games, we all met at Perkins for breakfast and had a good visit. We went and got some movies for Saturday night, did a bunch of laundry and house work, played outside, and ordered pizza for supper. The weekend wrapped up tonight with a trip to the indoor swim center. Ky brought a friend, which was nice for her to be able to go off and swim away from the boys and I. I finally got Boo convinced that with his life jacket on, he could in fact float. C and I wrestled in the water, I am constantly amazed at how strong he is, what an animal! And he has learned how to go under the water and hold his breath. We finished with a trip to DQ for ice cream, and home to bed.

Last weekend was Easter, we dyed eggs Saturday and had a great time! My kids are so creative, it was fun to see the different ideas they came up with for coloring their eggs. We went to bed early Saturday with great expectations of the next morning. We got up and found that someone or something had come and taken all of our eggs outside and hid them all over, I was amazed by some of the hiding places that "the bunny" came up with. The kids had a great time and then took turns hiding the eggs from each other and from me. I was hoping to get to church, but decided that the fun we were having was a more appropriate use of our time together. Have I mentioned yet how much I love my kids?!?! The kids were a little disappointed at first in looking for their Easter baskets, but found them in the back of UA's pick-up with a note explaining why there weren't in the house. Dogs and Bunnies don't mix ya know (nor do dogs and chocolate Easter candy!) I am so blessed to have my family so involved in my life and the lives of my kids! Thanks guys! We went and had brunch, the food was fabulous, and allowed for some more quality time, my sister called from Vegas while we were eating, so it was nice to have everyone kind of together for a while. She will be home for good in like 13 days, so that will be fun. Her baby is so cute, and just starting to crawl, I look forward to spending more time with them when they get back here.

I could go on and on, and I would love to, but it's getting late, and like I tell Ky, morning will be here at 6 whether we're ready for it or not. I will try to get some pictures posted this week; I've taken so many the last few weeks, deciding what to post will be the hard part. I hope all is well for all of you. Thanks for stopping and have a great week!
